Students are introduced to the principles of engineering and design.  The basic foundation of math and science required in a college career as an engineer are presented in this program.  Courses are structured from basic technical skills progressing up to the use of scientific facts applications.  Students attend field trips to local universities and industry partner job sites.



Sample Projects

Bridge building contests, catapult building contests; mouse trap cars; egg drops; solar car designs; principles of robotics and learning the latest AutoCAD (Computer Aided Drafting) software programs.  Students will engage in MESA Day High School competition, which is sponsored by CSULB and local high tech industries.
